Description
Sierra de Grazalema and Serranía de Ronda spread across the provinces of Cádiz and Málaga. Within this set of steep mountains of unique beauty, every winter, a good number of wintering birds meet, migrated from northern Europe, and seek shelter and sustenance among the Spanish Fir Tree, Pine Trees, Holm Oaks, Cork Oaks and scrubland.
During the daily outings, the Ring Ouzels, Alpine Accentor and Fieldfares will be our main targets, without losing sight of the high density of raptors in these mountains that are sure to keep us scanning the sky for species such as the Bonelli´s Eagle, Golden Eagle and Peregrine Falcon. On top of this, we will pay special attention to the small forest birds like the Bullfinch, Hawfinch and the Crossbill, as well as the rock dwelling birds such as Black Wheatear, Blue Rock Thrush and Rock Sparrow.
Out of the many ornithologically interesting sites in the reserve, we will devote most of our attention to Llanos de Líbar, Puerto del Boyar and Cerro Coros, together with many other less know places in search of the widest diversity of birds.
