Officially accredited 30 h course by Junta de Andalucía for the environmental surveillance of wind farms.
Theory:
The course will be online and live (via Zoom). Classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
To prevent anyone from missing a class if they are unable to attend live, classes will be recorded and made available to students at the end of each class for their convenience. Students must attend at least 80% of the classes, either live or recorded, in order to be eligible for the final test.
There will be 8-9 classes covering all the content required by the Andalusian Regional Government for the training of environmental wardens (identification of gliding birds, bats, etc.).
Practical sessions:
There will be 2 practical classes in which the concepts studied in theory will be seen in the field (identification, capture of injured specimens, etc.).
In order to take the final exam, students must attend at least one of the practical sessions that will be given.
Practical session 1: Thursday 18 December from 8:00 to 2:00 p.m
Practical session 2: Saturday 10 January from 8:00 am to 2:00 p.m
The practical sessions will always take place in the Tarifa area (Tahivilla, Bolonia, etc.). Details about meeting points, etc., will be communicated to students once they have enrolled on the course.
Final test:
In order to obtain the certificate of competence to perform environmental monitoring functions at wind farms, candidates must pass a final test.
The test will be a VISU-type test, in which 20 photographs of birds and bats will be presented and must be correctly identified.
