Parque Natural Sierra de Grazalema
Description
The Grazalema Natural Park, with nearly 53.000 Ha, spreads across the Northeast of the province of Cádiz and Northwest of Málaga and is a renowned hiking, birding and nature photography paradise. Dominated by mountain landscape formed by limestone and dolomites, with fantastic views of both Spanish Fir and Mediterranean forests.
Sierra de Grazalema is particularly interesting for its orchids and butterflies, but the exceptional raptors are sure to keep us looking up at all times. From the very top of the viewpoints it is usual to spot species such as Bonelli’s and Golden Eagles, Egyptian Vulture, Goshawk, Peregrine Falcon and Red-billed Chough.
Other species in the area are Blue Rock and Rufous Tailed Rock Thrushes, Black Wheatears, Crag Martins, Rock Sparrow, Alpine accentor, Alpine Swift, and Rock Buntings, to name but a few. Sierra de Grazalema is a natural wonder where we can combine the traditional white-washed town culture of Cádiz with the best organized trips to watch birds, orchids, butterflies and nature in all ways possible.
